Captain Erik

Eriks story is a little different. His childhood memories were not of his father teaching him how to tie knots and leaders, or how to gut and clean fish. He remembers surfing hurricane swells and nor easters, dawn patrol sessions at Montauk when he should have been in school. He did not grow up a fisherman or the son of one. He grew up in New York, on the eastern end of Long Island, chasing waves with his father. After moving to Santa Cruz in 2009 Erik found another passion, in cooking. Living on the central coast he has had the privilege of sourcing the best ingredients California has to offer, from hunting, to gardening, and of course fishing.  He has now connected his love for the ocean with his passion for high quality, locally sourced food.
